About GHK-Cu (Injectable)
Copper peptide GHK-Cu stimulates collagen synthesis, skin remodeling, and hair follicle health.
How it works
GHK-Cu is a copper peptide that stimulates collagen I and III, elastin, decorin, and glycosaminoglycans. It promotes hair follicle growth, accelerates wound healing, and drives skin remodeling at the dermal level.
Clinical evidence
GHK-Cu is one of the most-studied peptides in dermatology, with over 100 published papers since Pickart's foundational work in the 1970s. Documented effects include collagen synthesis upregulation (Maquart et al., FEBS Lett 1988), accelerated wound healing in diabetic mice (Pickart, Brief Funct Genomics 2017), and gene expression changes consistent with skin regeneration. Pickart & Margolina's 2018 Cosmetics review reported clinical trials showing improvements in skin firmness, elasticity, fine lines, and wound healing. Mechanistically GHK-Cu also modulates antioxidant defenses (SOD, glutathione) and reduces inflammatory cytokines. The peptide is a small ligand that releases copper into cells in a controlled manner, supporting both the structural collagen scaffold and the antioxidant defense system simultaneously.
